# How the queen moves in chess

The queen moves along a row, column or diagonal. It cannot jump over another piece. Meet Nidoqueen, our queen piece, and try its lesson.

A capture ends the move on the captured piece’s square.

Keep your king safe: a move cannot leave it in check.

Nidoqueen wears the queen costume in this game. The symbol on the base shows the real chess piece.
