How the pawn moves in chess
A pawn moves one square forward into an empty square. On its first move it may move two squares if both are empty. Meet Pichu, our pawn piece, and try its lesson.
It captures one square diagonally forwards. It cannot move or capture backwards.
Keep your king safe: a move cannot leave it in check.
Pichu wears the pawn costume in this game. The symbol on the base shows the real chess piece.
