Pokédex Bingo

Play Pokédex Bingo with a new card every day, or print four Pokémon bingo cards on one A4 sheet. Clues come from real Pokédex data. No sign-in, fan-made.

How to play

  1. Each square on the 5×5 card has a clue, like “A Ghost type” or “Weighs over 100 kg”. The middle star square is already filled.
  2. Tap a square and type the name of any Pokémon that fits the clue.
  3. The Pokédex data checks your answer. If it does not fit, you are told why and can try another.
  4. Each Pokémon can only be used once on a card, so a full card needs 24 different Pokémon.
  5. Five squares in a row, in a column or corner to corner is a bingo.

A new card appears every day and is the same for everyone. Every clue has plenty of matching Pokémon (at least eight, and most have dozens), and every card is checked so that it can always be finished.

Printable Pokémon Bingo for A4

Print four different cards on one A4 sheet. They are black and white, use no official artwork, and print on any home printer. Each sheet has a short how-to-play box.

Classroom and family tips

  • Print one sheet per table and cut it into four cards, so every player has a different card.
  • Ask players to say why their Pokémon fits. That practises types, sizes and regions without it feeling like a test.
  • Make it quiet: give a point for every square filled, not only for the first bingo.
  • Older players can try a full card with no repeated Pokémon. Younger players can use the Pokédex to look names up.
  • On a car journey, one card between two players works well: take turns naming a Pokémon for a square.

Questions and answers

How do you play Pokémon Bingo?

Each square on the card has a clue, like “A Ghost type” or “Weighs over 100 kg”. Think of any Pokémon that fits, tap the square and type its name. The Pokédex data checks it. Fill five squares in a row, column or corner to corner to get a bingo. The middle star square is already filled.

Can one Pokémon fill two squares?

No. Each Pokémon can only be used once on a card, so you need to find 24 different Pokémon to fill the whole card.

Is there a printable Pokémon Bingo card?

Yes. The print page gives you four different cards on one A4 sheet, so a table of four can play together. It is black and white, uses no official artwork and prints on any home printer. Every card is made from the Pokédex facts on pokee.si.

How can I use Pokémon Bingo in a classroom?

Print one sheet per table and cut it into four cards. Players write a different Pokémon in each square, and the first to complete a line calls bingo. Ask players to say why their Pokémon fits. For a quieter game, give a point for every square filled. Older players can try to fill the whole card without repeating a Pokémon.

Does the card change every day?

Yes. The card is picked from the date, so everyone playing on the same day gets the same card. Every clue has plenty of Pokémon that fit, so a card can always be finished.
