Speed and who moves first
Speed, priority brackets from +5 to −7, Quick Attack, Trick Room and the rules that decide turn order.
The faster Pokémon moves first
When both Pokémon use an ordinary move, the one with the higher Speed goes first. If the Speed is exactly the same, it is decided at random.
The fastest species of all is Regieleki, with a base Speed of 200. The slowest are Shuckle, Munchlax and Pyukumuku, at just 5.
