Terrain
Electric, Grassy, Misty and Psychic Terrain, and why only Pokémon on the ground feel them. Spot who is affected.
Four terrains
Terrain arrived in Generation 6. Each terrain lasts 5 turns (8 with a Terrain Extender) and only one can be active at a time. The key rule: terrain only affects Pokémon that are standing on the ground. These are the Generation 9 effects:
- Electric Terrain: Electric moves are 30% stronger, and Pokémon on the ground cannot fall asleep.
- Grassy Terrain: Grass moves are 30% stronger, and Pokémon on the ground recover 1/16 of their HP each turn.
- Misty Terrain: Dragon moves do half damage to Pokémon on the ground, and they cannot get status conditions or confusion.
- Psychic Terrain: Psychic moves are 30% stronger, and Pokémon on the ground cannot be hit by priority moves.
Electric Terrain’s boost was 50% before Generation 8.
