Clefable

Clefable is a Fairy-type Pokémon, the Fairy Pokémon, number 36 (#0036) in the National Pokédex. It was introduced in Generation 1 and comes from the Kanto region. It is 1.3 m tall and weighs 40 kg.
Clefable is the Fairy Pokémon with ears so sharp the Pokédex says it can hear a pin drop from over 0.8 km (half a mile) away. Shy and rarely seen, it can walk on water, and in Legends: Z-A it gained a Mega form that floats by bending gravity with moonlight.

Lore
Biology
Clefable is a tall, pink, vaguely star-shaped Pokémon with long dark-tipped ears, black oval eyes, a curled lock of fur and a long, tightly curled tail. It is 1.3 m tall and weighs 40 kg. Two dark pink wings with three points apiece sit on its back, and each hand has three fingers.
Behaviour
Clefable is timid and nocturnal, and flees the moment it senses people. Its hearing makes it prefer quiet mountains, which Bulbapedia says it is protective of. It skips along with a bouncy step that lets it walk on water, strolling on lakes on quiet moonlit nights. Some scientists think it gazes at the full moon because it is homesick, and tradition holds that seeing a pair skip by means a happy marriage.
Habitat
The Pokédex puts it deep in quiet mountains, and Bulbapedia calls it one of the rarest Pokémon. In Legends: Z-A it lives in Centrico Plaza's Wild Zone 20.
Powers
Cute Charm can infatuate attackers that make contact, Magic Guard blocks indirect damage, and its hidden Ability is Unaware. It uses Moonblast, Meteor Mash, Life Dew and Metronome. Holding Clefablite, it Mega Evolves into Fairy and Flying Mega Clefable, whose Magic Bounce reflects status moves; Bulbapedia says it constantly sparkles and floats by drawing on moonlight to bend gravity over an area of more than 10 m (32 ft) around it. With base Special Attack 95, it is a bulky special attacker.
Name origin
Clefable may combine 'clef' with 'fable'. The Japanese name is Pixy (ピクシー), which may come from 'pixie'.
Design inspiration
Clefable appears to draw on fairies and pixies. Bulbapedia suggests Mega Clefable's hat-like curl may recall a beret or crown, and its transformation could allude to magical-girl power-ups, with sparkles from fairy dust and a colour scheme that may echo Kalos Gym Leader Valerie. These are fan readings.
Evolution notes
Clefable evolves from Clefairy with a Moon Stone and is the final form of the Cleffa line.
In the games
In Legends: Z-A, Jacinthe's partner is a Clefable. Lusamine's Clefable fights in Sun, Moon and their Ultra versions, and Whitney uses one in her HeartGold and SoulSilver rematch. Scarlet and Violet offer it in The Teal Mask's Tera Raid Battles.
In the anime
The species debuted in 'Clefairy and the Moon Stone', when pieces of a giant Moon Stone made some Clefairy evolve. Lusamine's Clefable appeared in her fantasy in 'A Dream Encounter!', physically debuted in 'Faba's Revenge!' and later cared for the Ultra Guardians' base.
