Combee

Combee is a Bug/Flying-type Pokémon, the Tiny Bee Pokémon, number 415 (#0415) in the National Pokédex. It was introduced in Generation 4 and comes from the Sinnoh region. It is 0.3 m tall and weighs 5.5 kg.
Combee is three bees in one body: each of its faces has a mind of its own and, says the Pokédex, a slightly different taste in nectar, and the trio stays together from birth. Only about one Combee in eight is female, and only females can grow into Vespiquen.

Lore
Biology
Combee's body is three orange hexagons joined like honeycomb cells, each with a yellow face. It is 0.3 m tall and weighs 5.5 kg. Female Combee have a red mark on the lower face; males have none.
Behaviour
Combee gather nectar from sunrise to sundown for their Vespiquen and the swarm, each swarm making its own flavour of honey, and at night they sleep packed together in a lump. Bulbapedia says they flee when threatened and never defy their queen.
Habitat
Bulbapedia says Combee typically nest in caves and hollow trees, in quiet, secluded forests. In Scarlet and Violet they live in Paldea's South and West Provinces and the East Paldean Sea, and in 1 star Tera Raids.
Diet
It turns nectar into honey, which Bulbapedia says Combee mostly eat themselves.
Powers
Honey Gather lets it pick up Honey after battle, with Hustle hidden. In Scarlet and Violet it knows Gust, Sweet Scent, Bug Bite and Struggle Bug and learns nothing more by levelling. With base Speed 70 against 30 HP and 30 Attack, it is far quicker than it is tough.
Name origin
Combee may combine 'honeycomb', 'combination' (for its three parts) and 'bee'. The Japanese name is Mitsuhoney (ミツハニー), possibly from 蜜蜂 mitsubachi ('honey bee'), 三つ mittsu ('three') and 'honey'.
Design inspiration
Ken Sugimori said the brief was for a Pokémon built from three honeycombs joined together, and the team's first idea put three larvae inside one comb. It sounded gross, but it was memorable, so they kept it and simplified the faces, copying simple faces from old comics to make it friendlier.
Evolution notes
Combee becomes Vespiquen at level 21, if female.
In the games
Combee was introduced in Diamond and Pearl. In Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon, Nectar Meadow's bosses are a trio of female Combee and two Beedrill, who mistake the player's team for honey thieves. It is not available in Legends: Z-A.
In the anime
Combee debuted in 'The Grass-Type Is Always Greener!', where they led Ash and his friends on a quest for the Enchanted Honey. In 'Danger, Sweet as Honey!', many lived on Honey Island, revered for their famous honey.

- The Pokédex disagrees with itself: HeartGold and SoulSilver put the sleeping group at around a thousand Combee, while later entries say about a hundred.
