Pangoro

Pangoro is a Fighting/Dark-type Pokémon, the Daunting Pokémon, number 675 (#0675) in the National Pokédex. It was introduced in Generation 6 and comes from the Kalos region. It is 2.1 m tall and weighs 136 kg.
Pangoro is the Daunting Pokémon, a hot-tempered panda in what looks like a long dark coat, with a bamboo shoot in its mouth that tells it where its opponent will move. The Pokédex says its punches can flatten a dump truck, yet it will not put up with bullying.

Lore
Biology
Pangoro is 2.1 m tall and weighs 136 kg. Its head and belly are thick white fur, while its chest, arms and back are dark grey, with a long cape of that fur trailing behind like a coat. Black shadows under its brow hide its eyes, and the thin, two-leaved shoot in its mouth senses movement nearby.
Behaviour
Pangoro is quick to anger and uses its huge strength to get what it wants, charging in like a berserker without caring how many hits it takes. It is kindhearted toward its companions, though. The Pokédex says it lives for duels against Obstagoon and that would-be Trainers have no choice but to talk with their fists.
Habitat
The Pokédex names no habitat. Pangoro is unobtainable in Scarlet and Violet, but in Legends: Z-A it appears in Wild Zone 9 of Magenta District and Wild Zone 20 of Centrico Plaza.
Powers
Pangoro has the same Abilities as Pancham: Iron Fist and Mold Breaker, with Scrappy hidden. It learns Night Slash as it evolves, then Circle Throw, Crunch and Hammer Arm, and can be taught Close Combat. With 124 base Attack and only 58 Speed, it is a hard-hitting but slowish physical attacker.
Name origin
Pangoro may combine 'panda' with gorotsuki ('rogue') and gorogoro, a rumbling sound. The Japanese name is Goronda (ゴロンダ), which Bulbapedia reads the same way.
Design inspiration
Bulbapedia credits Hitoshi Ariga with the design, citing a post on his deviantArt page. Pangoro appears modelled on a panda, but its coat-like cape, chewing stick and rough-but-principled manner also suggest the banchō, the leaders of Japanese juvenile-delinquent gangs. These are fan readings.
Evolution notes
Pangoro is Pancham's final form, reached by level-up at 32 with a Dark-type Pokémon in the party; it gains the Dark type in the process.
In the games
In Detective Pikachu Returns, Pangoro is among the Pokémon Detective Pikachu can ride, and it shoves heavy objects such as boulders and containers out of the way. It debuted in X and Y and is also in the Mega Dimension DLC's Hyperspace Lumiose.
In the anime
In 'So You're Having a Bad Day!' three Pangoro attack Ash and his friends after Team Rocket steals their Berries, then blast Team Rocket away once they find out who the thief was. Viren's Pangoro lost to Ash's Torracat and Masked Royal's Incineroar in 'A Young Royal Flame Ignites!'.
