Toedscool

Toedscool is a Ground/Grass-type Pokémon, the Woodear Pokémon, number 948 (#0948) in the National Pokédex. It was introduced in Generation 9 and comes from the Paldea region. It is 0.9 m tall and weighs 33 kg.
Toedscool is the Woodear Pokémon, a pink mushroom that looks like Tentacool but, the Pokédex insists, is a completely different species. Its thin legs can carry it at 50 km/h (30 mph), and the chewy flaps that fall off its body are very good eating.

Lore
Biology
Toedscool is a pink, mushroom-like Pokémon, 0.9 m tall and 33 kg, with yellow spots on its head and a frayed skirt of flaps around its lower body. The flaps drop off now and then and taste chewy and delicious, and Bulbapedia says they go into recipes such as pickles. It stands on two long, thin white legs that resemble tentacles or mycelium.
Behaviour
The Pokédex records little about its habits beyond its surprising turn of speed. Bulbapedia adds that it clings to tree roots.
Habitat
Muggy forests, according to the Pokédex, and Serebii lists forest and grass biomes. In Scarlet and Violet it is found across Paldea's provinces, and in The Teal Mask it appears across Kitakami.
Powers
Its only Ability, Mycelium Might, makes its status moves go last but lets them ignore the target's Ability. It learns Stun Spore, Poison Powder, Spore, Giga Drain, Earth Power and Power Whip. With 100 base Special Defense it is a defensive support Pokémon.
Name origin
Toedscool blends 'toadstool', 'toed' and Tentacool. The Japanese name is Nonokurage (ノノクラゲ), which may combine 野 no ('field'), 木耳 kikurage (the wood ear mushroom, literally 'tree jellyfish') and Menokurage, Tentacool's Japanese name.
Design inspiration
Toedscool is modelled on Tentacool, a Pokémon designed by Ken Sugimori, but it appears to be a wood ear mushroom. The look-alike may nod to convergent evolution, where unrelated living things end up with similar bodies. Bulbapedia also floats a Spanish pun: a mushroom's stalk is called its pie, meaning 'foot'. These are fan readings.
Evolution notes
Toedscool evolves into Toedscruel at level 30.
In the games
Toedscool is found in the wild and in 1-star Tera Raids in Scarlet and Violet, where it debuted. Bulbapedia lists it as unobtainable in Legends: Z-A.
In the anime
Multiple Toedscool debuted in Pokémon Horizons in 'The Flower Tower'. Later, Ult tries to catch one for Professor Willow's Field Research, but his Poké Ball throws miss.
