How to play Type Master

1. Choose a mode. “How effective?” shows an attack type and a defender, and you pick the multiplier: 0, ¼, ½, 1, 2 or 4×.
2. “Pick the counter” shows a target, and you choose a type that is super effective against it.
3. “Mixed” shuffles both kinds of question. Each round has 10 questions.

Scoring and XP

Each right answer earns 4 XP, with a streak bonus every five in a row. Finishing a round adds 10 XP and a perfect round 15 more. Right answers also count towards your type mastery badges.

Where can I learn the matchups first?

The type chart lists what every type is strong and weak against.

Does it include dual types?

Yes. Defenders can have two types, which is how 4× and ¼× multipliers happen.

Can I play without paying?

Yes. Every game can be played in full in your browser, with no sign-up. pokee.si Plus, a membership a grown-up can buy, adds extras such as hints, longer timers and extra modes.

Is my progress saved?

Your XP, belts, badges and best scores are saved in this browser. If you want them on another device, you can make a trainer with just a nickname and a PIN (no email) and sign in there.
