Who’s that Pokémon? Guess all 1,025 from a silhouette or a blur against the clock, with combos and a cry on every reveal. Plays in your browser, real Pokédex data.

How to play

Pick a mode and a difficulty, then press Start. A mystery Pokémon appears as a silhouette or a blur, or with Plus as chunky pixels or a tight close-up, and it gets clearer as the ring timer drains. Tap the right name from four, or type it on the harder levels. Fast answers score a time bonus, and answers in a row build a combo up to four times the points. Every reveal plays the Pokémon’s cry, and each one you name is added to your Pokédex.

Name the Pokémon before the clock runs out. Each one starts hidden, and the full artwork is revealed with the answer.

How to play Guess the Pokémon

1. Pick how the Pokémon is hidden: Silhouette (The classic. Name it from its shadow), Blur (Starts as a smudge and sharpens as the clock runs), Pixelated (Big chunky pixels that get smaller every second, with pokee.si Plus), Zoom (A tight close-up that slowly pulls back, with pokee.si Plus).
2. Pick a difficulty: Rookie (Gen 1, pick from four. 15 seconds each), Ace (Gens 1–4, look-alike choices. 12 seconds each), Elite (All 1,025, type the name. 20 seconds each), Master (All 1,025, typed, 10 seconds each).
3. Each round has 10 Pokémon. Choose or type the name. Every Pokémon you name correctly is added to your Pokédex as caught.

Scoring and XP

Correct answers earn 3 XP on Rookie, 5 on Ace, 8 on Elite and 12 on Master, and a streak bonus grows with every five right answers in a row. Finishing a round adds 10 XP, and a perfect 10 adds 15 more.

Questions

Do I have to spell the names exactly?

Only on Elite and Master, where you type the name. Rookie and Ace give you a choice of names.

Which Pokémon can appear?

Rookie uses the 151 Generation 1 Pokémon, Ace the first 493, and Elite and Master all 1,025.

Can I play without paying?

Yes. Every game can be played in full in your browser, with no sign-up. pokee.si Plus, a membership a grown-up can buy, adds extras such as hints, longer timers and extra modes.

Is my progress saved?

Your XP, belts, badges and best scores are saved in this browser. If you want them on another device, you can make a trainer with just a nickname and a PIN (no email) and sign in there.
