Noibat

Noibat is a Flying/Dragon-type Pokémon, the Sound Wave Pokémon, number 714 (#0714) in the National Pokédex. It was introduced in Generation 6 and comes from the Kalos region. It is 0.5 m tall and weighs 8 kg.
Noibat is the Sound Wave Pokémon, a small purple bat that can make sound at any wavelength, and the Pokédex says its ultrasonic waves can reach 200,000 hertz. It uses the same sonar to stun creatures far bigger than itself and to find the ripest fruit.

Lore
Biology
Noibat is 0.5 m tall and weighs 8 kg. It is pale purple with yellow eyes, three spiky tufts of fur on each cheek and fluffy black fur on its chest and hips. Its huge ears look like loudspeakers, and the small black hands on its wings have two fingers each. Bulbapedia says the waves also let it talk to other Noibat and sense its surroundings in the dark.
Behaviour
Noibat sleeps in its cave during the day and leaves after nightfall to look for ripe fruit, using its sonar to judge which pieces are ready. The Pokédex says even a strong wrestler gets dizzy and cannot stand when hit by its waves. The Scarlet Pokédex adds that it mistakes Applin for food.
Habitat
The Pokédex says it lives in pitch-black caves. In Scarlet and Violet it is found in Paldea's North and West Provinces and in Kitakami, and in Legends: Z-A it appears around Lumiose, including the sewers, and in the Mega Dimension DLC's Hyperspace Lumiose.
Diet
Fruit, which the Pokédex says it prefers ripe.
Powers
Its Abilities are Frisk and Infiltrator, with Telepathy hidden. It learns Supersonic at level 8, Air Cutter at 24 and Hurricane at 52. With base Speed of 55 and nothing higher than 45 elsewhere, it is a fragile pre-evolution.
Name origin
Noibat may combine 'noise' and 'bat'. The Japanese name is Onbat (オンバット), which may blend 音 on ('sound'), 音波 onpa ('sound wave') and バット, 'bat'.
Design inspiration
Noibat seems modelled on bats, mixing traits of fruit bats and insect-eating bats, with a wyvern touch. Its ears may nod to loudspeakers.
Evolution notes
Noibat evolves into Noivern at level 48.
In the games
Noibat lives in Terminus Cave and on Victory Road in X and Y, where it first appeared. In Scarlet and Violet it also appears in 3-star Tera Raid Battles.
In the anime
Ash's male Noibat came out of an Egg in 'A Not-So-Flying Start!'. Yuha owns a Noibat in Horizons, which first appeared in 'Where the Land Meets the Sky'.
