Roselia is a Grass/Poison-type Pokémon, the Thorn Pokémon, number 315 (#0315) in the National Pokédex. It was introduced in Generation 3 and comes from the Hoenn region. It is 0.3 m tall and weighs 2 kg.
Roselia is the Thorn Pokémon, a small Grass and Poison rose-bearer whose calming scent hides head thorns loaded with a vicious poison. A Legends: Arceus Pokédex entry mentions an old tradition of sending its thorns to an opponent as a challenge to a duel.

Lore
Biology
Roselia is a small green biped, 0.3 m tall and 2 kg. It has three thorns on its head, black eyes with long lashes, leaves on its shoulders like epaulettes and a leaf skirt striped with yellow. It holds a rose in each hand, a red one in the right and a blue one in the left.
Behaviour
Roselia's scent relaxes people, and the Pokédex says the healthier the Roselia, the more pleasant the aroma. It is not defenceless: it throws its spiky thorns at any thief reaching for the flowers on its arms, and uses a different poison in each hand.
Habitat
The Pokédex habitat list puts it in grassland. It cannot be obtained in Scarlet and Violet, but in Legends: Z-A it lives in the base game's Wild Zone 7 and in the Mega Dimension DLC's Hyperspace Lumiose.
Diet
It drinks nutrient-rich spring water, which the Pokédex says can bring out rare colours in its flowers.
Powers
Roselia's Abilities are Natural Cure and Poison Point, with Leaf Guard hidden. It drains HP with Mega Drain and Giga Drain, heals its team with Aromatherapy and finishes with Petal Dance or Leaf Storm. Its base Special Attack of 100 is a real threat, but 50 HP and 45 Defense leave it frail.
Name origin
Roselia may combine 'rose', 'azalea' and 'camellia'. The Japanese name is the same word, Roselia (ロゼリア).
Design inspiration
Roselia may take its look from rose bushes, with its humanoid shape and Fairy Egg Group hinting at fairies. Its red and blue roses could also nod to hydrangeas, which flower red or blue depending on soil acidity. These are fan readings.
Evolution notes
Budew becomes Roselia by levelling up with high friendship in the daytime, and Roselia becomes Roserade when a Shiny Stone is used on it.
In the games
Players can find Roselia on Route 117 in Ruby and Sapphire, where it first appeared. In Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon a Roselia lives in Serene Village with her child Budew.
In the anime
Drew's Roselia debuted in 'Now That's Flower Power!' and is his signature Pokémon in Contests. In 'Cheer Pressure', a Roselia on Sheridan's cheering squad healed James's Cacnea and Jessie's Seviper with Aromatherapy.
