Fun facts
- Galar's name may involve the word "gala" (a special event) or "gallant", but this is a fan interpretation.
- Dynamax comes from Galar's Power Spots, which formed after Eternatus fell to Earth in an asteroid roughly 20,000 years ago.
- The "Darkest Day", a black storm that made Pokémon Dynamax and run wild, happened about 3,000 years before the games.
- Sword and Shield were extended by a paid Expansion Pass with two extra adventures, The Isle of Armor and The Crown Tundra.
