Generation 8 · Galar

How to pronounce every Gen 8 Pokémon name

Generation 8 is the Galar generation: 96 Pokémon, numbers 810 to 905 in the National Pokédex.

72 of the 96 respellings follow English official media or a dictionary, and 24 are our best guess, worked out from the parts of the name because we found no English source that says them out loud. 23 names have medium confidence, usually because English media do not all say it the same way; the note under the name says how. 2 names are marked with a question mark: Enamorus and Zarude.

The Pokémon Company has corrected 4 names from this generation at its own events: Regieleki, Runerigus, Stonjourner and Zacian.

Capital letters mark the loud syllable: PEE-kuh-choo means the PEE gets the push.
